Saturday 27th April saw us swapping hockey kit for suits & dresses, and come together as a club to celebrate the end of the 23/24 season. Alongside a number of individual & team awards, each captain had an opportunity to say a few words to summarise the season highlights and celebrate the achievements of their team through the season. Special mentions must go to the Ladies 4th, Ladies 5th and Mens 6th teams, all of whom earned promotion.
Two honorary club memberships were also awarded, given to club members who have gone above and beyond for the club. The first, awarded to Chris Cook was to recognise his 10 years of dedication, taking photos, providing statistics and writing match reports. The second was awarded to David Murray in recognition of his 13 years as treasurer. Alongside this, he was a key figure in the club merger, and continues to be a regular player in the Men’s Terriers.
Massive thanks must also be given to 2 key committee members stepping back from their current roles at the end of the season: Jen Cruise (Ladies Club Captain), and David Baines (Club Captain). We look forward to welcoming Emily Powell into the role of Ladies Club Captain.
